Frequently Asked Questions
Which wax should I book?
If you’re unsure, don’t worry — I’ll help you choose the best option on the day. You can read about each style on the Services page to get a feel for what suits you.
Can I change my mind on the day?
Yes, absolutely — as long as there’s enough time in your slot. Just let me know before we start.
What kind of wax do you use?
I use professional-grade low-temperature hot wax for all bikini treatments — never strip wax. It's gentle, effective, and ideal for delicate areas.
Do you double-dip?
Never. I follow strict hygiene protocols. Fresh spatulas are used every time — no exceptions.
What’s the difference between the bikini wax styles?
Check out the Bikini Wax Guide for a visual breakdown, or ask me — I’ll explain without awkwardness.
Can I bring my child or a friend?
No — only the client receiving treatment is allowed in the room for safety, privacy, and hygiene reasons.
I’m nervous — what if I feel awkward or embarrassed?
You’re not alone. My space is private and calm, and I’ve seen it all. You’ll be made feel comfortable and cared for from the moment you arrive.
How often should I get waxed?
Every 4–6 weeks is ideal. Regular waxing encourages finer, slower regrowth over time.
How long does my hair need to be?
At least a grain of rice (about 6mm). If you’ve been shaving, wait 2–3 weeks before waxing.
What if I’m on my period?
You can still get waxed — just wear a clean tampon or menstrual cup. However, your skin may feel more sensitive.
Can I get waxed while pregnant?
Yes — many pregnant clients come right up to their due date. Let me know, and I’ll make sure you’re extra comfortable.
Do you do male waxing?
No — I currently specialise in waxing for women and those assigned female at birth.
Can I tan after waxing?
Avoid sunbeds and fake tan for 24–48 hours after waxing to prevent irritation or patchiness.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Comfy, loose-fitting clothing is best. Avoid tight knickers or leggings afterwards.
How do I care for my skin after a wax?
You’ll get tailored aftercare advice and product recommendations at your appointment, but key tips include: avoiding heat, sweat, or friction for 24 hours, and exfoliating gently after a few days.
What if I get a reaction or breakout?
This is rare, but possible — especially with first-time waxing. Let me know if it happens and I’ll advise you on calming products and tips.
Is waxing painful?
You’ll feel a quick sting, but it’s over fast and most clients say it gets easier every time. I use a gentle wax and soothing pre/post products.
How do I book?
Send a message via WhatsApp or text. I don’t take calls during treatments, but I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
Do I need a patch test?
Patch tests are available on request, but not usually required unless you have very sensitive skin or allergies.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please give at least 24 hours' notice. No-shows and late cancellations may be charged, as per policy.
