How Often Should I Get a Bikini Wax?
So, you’ve had your first wax (go you!) — now you’re probably wondering: How long should I wait before booking again?
At The Bikini Wax Specialist, I make sure every client leaves not just smooth, but informed — because when it comes to waxing, timing makes all the difference.
The Sweet Spot: Every 4–6 Weeks
For most people, the ideal time between bikini waxes is around 4 to 6 weeks. This allows the hair to grow long enough for the wax to grip — but not so long that it becomes uncomfortable.
Why This Timing Works:
- The hair is the right length (about ½ cm or grain-of-rice length).
- You’re more likely to catch hair in the same growth cycle — leading to smoother results for longer.
- It actually gets easier over time — hair grows back finer, softer, and sometimes even slower.
First-Time? Your Second Wax Is Key
If it’s your first wax, your second appointment should ideally be around 4 weeks later, even if you’re not sure you need it yet. This helps start syncing up your growth cycle — meaning better, longer-lasting results from there on.
Some Things Can Affect Timing
Everyone’s body is different. Hormones, pregnancy, medications, and genetics can all affect hair growth. If you’re not sure when to come back, I’ll always give you personalised advice based on your skin and hair type.
Want to stay on track? I can rebook you at the end of each appointment or send you a reminder closer to the time — just ask!
